The gowns are ultra-feminine with divine detailing. Here are a few of the ones that stood out…although they are all gorgeous.

Jackets (from embroidered to silk taffeta, not just the tulle ones pictured here) were a big part of the collection. Light, airy tulle coats, like the one above and below, are an easy way to alter your look from ceremony to reception without requiring a whole outfit change. Throw on the jacket for your walk down the aisle (great for church weddings as well) and then remove it before your big entrance. |
The embroidered short dress underneath has a retro feel and would look right at home at almost any wedding…from backyard to beach to formal evening affair.

I love the way the ribbon is woven through the draping on the bodice. This dress has something old, something new and something blue. It marries the traditional white wedding dress with the trend of colored bridal gowns—a stunning ivory guipure lace overlay with peeks of blue showing through. |

You can view the entire collection on the Oscar de la Renta website. These dresses won’t be in bridal salons until next year but let’s face it who could afford one anyway? Although there is nothing stopping you from having a local designer/dressmaker replicate the look for a 1/8th of the price!!! So now you have something to look forward to. |
