Booking Terms

HOLLYWOOD BRIDES – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing Hollywood Brides. We are honoured to be part of your special day

These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between Hollywood Brides (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the Client.

By paying any booking fee, retainer, deposit, invoice, or service payment, the Client acknowledges that:

  • They have read and understood these Terms;
  • They agree to be legally bound by them; and
  • A contract is formed upon receipt of payment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot legally be excluded.

1. Booking & Deposit

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • A non-refundable and non-transferable retainer (deposit) is required to secure your date.
  • Bookings are held for 48 hours from invoice issue. If the deposit is not received within this time, the date may be released.
  • The deposit is deducted from your total service cost.

Your deposit confirms exclusive reservation of your date and time.

2. Payments

  • The Client who makes the booking is responsible for all payments relating to the booking.
  • Final balances are due no later than 8 weeks prior to the event date.
  • If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

3. Cancellations & Changes

We understand that circumstances can change. However, because your date is reserved exclusively for you, cancellation policies apply.

Cooling-Off Period

A statutory 72-hour cooling-off period applies from the time the deposit is paid.

If cancelled within this period:

  • A 35% administration fee of the deposit applies.
  • The remaining deposit balance will be refunded.

After this period:

  • The deposit becomes strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

If the wedding/event is cancelled or postponed for any reason (including change of mind, financial circumstances, venue changes, or third-party decisions):

  • Within 6 months of the event date: 50% of the total booking value remains payable.
  • Within 3 months of the event date: 100% of the total booking value remains payable.

These fees represent a genuine pre-estimate of loss, including:

  • Reserved artist time
  • Loss of alternative bookings
  • Administrative preparation
  • Turned-away clients

All outstanding amounts become due immediately upon cancellation notice.

Downsizing Numbers

Reducing the number of services does not reduce the total booking cost. Services may be substituted (subject to availability), but the original agreement value remains payable.

4. Trials

Trials are optional.

However, if a trial is not undertaken, no refunds or remedies will be provided regarding styling preferences on the wedding day.

5. Travel & Parking

  • Travel fees apply per artist.
  • All additional costs (parking, hotel access, flights, ferries, venue fees) are payable by the Client in advance.
  • Due to legal health and safety requirements, ONSITE parking must be arranged and pre-paid where required.
  • Lack of access may impact service delivery. We are not liable for delays or outcomes caused by parking restrictions.

6. Timing & Delays

We provide a run sheet to ensure a smooth and relaxed schedule.

  • Artists are not responsible for delays caused by the Client, bridal party, or other suppliers.
  • If delays occur due to client-related circumstances, artists may leave at the agreed finish time without refund for incomplete services.
  • Overtime beyond the agreed schedule is charged at $100 per artist, per hour (or part thereof), payable on the day.

7. Client Responsibilities & On-The-Day Conduct

We want you to have the most relaxed and beautiful experience possible. ✨ To help us achieve this, the Client and bridal party agree to the following:

Before Services Begin

  • Hair must be washed and completely blow-dried the evening prior (no oils or leave-in conditioner).
  • Skin must be clean, exfoliated, and moisturised before makeup.
  • Any allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions must be disclosed in advance.

During Services

Once hair and/or makeup services have commenced, the following must not occur until all scheduled services are fully completed:

  • Leaving to set up the venue
  • Collecting flowers or completing external errands
  • Steaming, ironing, or altering dresses
  • Showering or re-wetting hair
  • Going outside unnecessarily in wind, humidity, rain, or extreme weather conditions
  • Any activity that may compromise completed hair or makeup

Hair and makeup results can be affected by heat, moisture, wind, physical activity, environmental exposure, or weather conditions.

Re-Services Due to Client Actions

If any reworking, corrections, touch-ups, or additional services are required due to the above circumstances, these will be charged at full retail rate per service, payable immediately.

Hollywood Brides is not responsible for styling changes, product breakdown, or result changes caused by client activities or environmental exposure after services have commenced.

We do not cover tattoos, scarring, tan lines, or similar concerns.

8. Health & Safety

  • Clients must disclose allergies or sensitivities.
  • Services may be declined if a client is under the influence of alcohol/drugs, behaves aggressively, or presents with contagious conditions.
  • No refunds will be issued where services are refused for health or safety reasons.
  • Children must be supervised at all times.

9. Property Care

Any damage, loss, or contamination of equipment must be compensated immediately by the responsible party, including replacement costs.

10. Artist Substitution

If an assigned artist is unable to attend due to illness or emergency, we will attempt to arrange a suitable replacement.

If no replacement is available, liability is limited to a refund of monies paid for the affected services only.

11. Photography & Marketing

We may use images taken during services for promotional purposes unless written notice withdrawing consent is provided before the event date.

12. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service concerned.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or financial losses.
  • We are not responsible for circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

13. Acceptance

By paying the booking retainer, the Client confirms:

  • They understand these Terms;
  • They accept them in full; and
  • They agree to be legally bound by this agreement.
  • In the unlikely event of significant increases in costs outside of our control including but not limited to fuel, travel expenses, supplier costs, or government charges. Hollywood Brides reserves the right to apply a reasonable surcharge to reflect these increases.
